SRS on track for open source release
This morning NZRS released a terse statement about the release of the SRS software. A project has already been created on SourceForge and the code should be uploaded on the 30th.

On a side note I find it amusing that a MS Word file was used to send out a 82 word announcement about the release of an open source system.

Men(.com) sold for $1.3 million US
Wow, NZ government really got a bargin, I mean they got an entire country (newzealand.com) for a measly $500k US yet this person got $1.3 million US for a single 'person' (men.com). Just think NZ has 4 million people... ahh the wealth!

PS Anyone else snicker at the 'portal for men' comment? :-)

newzealand.com 'success' reporting in DomPost
The DominionPost had a small story on Monday about the 'success' of the newzealand.com domain name. It was not online so I will dig up a copy and try and scan it. It was amusing as it had the incorrect costs for the name and it also was Trade & Industry PR drivel pretending to be 'reporting'.

And we are back..
Well, this is back, different machine, different job, different year. It seems to be reinstalled ok and was easy as 'drag n drop' from my USB mini drive to the hard drive.

After I first posted this I noticed that Radio is busy reposting every item since the start thinking that it has like 300 new posts since 2002.. oh well... Radio quirks.
