All postings here are my own opinion. YMMV. May shrink in hot water. Do not expose to UV. May contain traces of nuts. With added riboflavin!

List of all DNC authorised registrars is available with .nz domain name pricing and other details. Please be advised that the list is out of date but it will be updated in future.

.de supports umlauts and gets 600,000 applications
The Register has a story on .de and IDN's (International Domain Names). .de appears to have received 600,000 applications for names containing umlauts (like this ü and ö).

I think that if .nz can support macrons (a vowel with a ¯ over it to show it is a long vowel) it would be good. But lets wait for the international agreement to occur on how to do this and not have to use plugin's and other half arsed tools until then.

DPF ICANN write up on his blog
David Farrar has a small write up on the recent ICANN meeting on his blog. I think that a summary, with a promise of a full report, of an ICANN meeting attended by InternetNZ being first placed in the pubic arena has never been done before. In the past Sue Leader and Keith Davidson would sometimes do an update to members via email during a meeting but never in public. Of course sometimes reports which are often months late would appear on the InternetNZ website. These late reports, in my opinion, are dubious as what is listed is often as political as what was left out.
