All postings here are my own opinion. YMMV. May shrink in hot water. Do not expose to UV. May contain traces of nuts. With added riboflavin!

I'mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Back!
Well I am reactivating the blog over the next few weeks. Been looking at replacing Radio. It is (was?) a great blog tool but now in my opinion a thick client approach to blogging is too restrictive and other tools are gaining much greater '3rd party' support. Not sure if I will migrate all the entries (which are XML files) into a new system or just start new with links to old system. Also starting to look at some research papers I was writing late last year on areas of ICANN and Internet Governance in the ccTLD land that have have been over looked or misquoted over the years. The end result is my plan (which it always was) is to add more opinion/research as well as the links/comments on domain issues in NZ.

ICANN is about to approve what?!?!
I have just read that ICANN is about to approve .post and .travel as new gTLD's. The history on .travel is interesting esp as it seems they were 'promised' it last time around but didnt get it. The thing I cant understand is wtf is .post going to do for the Internet community. Sure, if it is semi open process and this is one of scores or hundreds then fine, but as the 8th or 9th 'new' gTLD?
