All postings here are my own opinion. YMMV. May shrink in hot water. Do not expose to UV. May contain traces of nuts. With added riboflavin!

List of all DNC authorised registrars is available with .nz domain name pricing and other details. Please be advised that the list is out of date but it will be updated in future.

Proposed .iwi.nz changes
People should check out .iwi.nz moderation changes that have been proposed. Without going into the merits of the changes I think one thing that should be required is documented 100% agreement by existing name holders for any change (I would accept say 98% or 99% type approach as someone could hold out just to be annoying). This agreement should be included in any proposed change BEFORE it is sent for consultation.

DNC quoted in IDG over name transfers
The DNC (www.dnc.org www.dnc.org.nz) has been quoted by IDG about the new gTLD domain name transfer process. Based on the horror stories about the last process this should be much better for registrants. However, nothing will stop a 'bad' transfer if the registrant is a moron, inept, or a T Corp Marketing Droid.

Yeah, stats will be updated RealSoonNow(tm)
I am aware that the Registrar stats have not been updated 'for sometime'. I have to find my archived versions and get back working on it and removing all the dead wood and opining on the impact of the reduced domain name fee.

Would you like corporate control with that?
The self inflicted 'gay porn' has come to bite T Corp in the ass (so to speak). Not only did they start to redirect traffic for those users on BigPond (their ISP) but they complained to the ASA about their own actions.

This just boggles the mind. You screw up with a nation wide ad, then start a 'benevolent re-direction' on the domain name you told them them to go to and then you complain about yourself about the content on the site that is hosted overseas!

ComputerWorld Australia has the best update that I have found so far.

Updated: ASA should read ABA. I guess T Corp is not the only one with issues over the letter 'a'.
